Grace Lutheran Sharing Sacred Space

Due to the lightning damage to the Grace Lutheran Church' steeple, the congregation is needing a safe place to worship until work is completed.

Our Session has voted unanimously to welcome our neighbors to share our sanctuary for their 9:15 Sunday service. Their worship will conclude at 10:00, allowing our congregation time to prepare for our 10:45 sanctuary service.

Welcome, neighbors!

Renovation Update

Check out the renovation page on our website to see floor plans and external views of the renovation project.

Update From Our COVID Response Team

The latest information from the Sangamon County Department of Public Health shows some slight improvement as the county has moved back into the "Medium Risk" category. We are still seeing daily cases at more than 100 and the hospitalization rate remains steady. In the past two weeks we have seen an increased number of our own church members and friends test positive.

While we welcome the reduction in the risk category, we recommend that everyone remain vigilant, get vaccinated and boosted, wash your hands, maintain a safe distance, and mask in public indoor spaces. We will continue to require masks for all individuals participating in services or activities inside the church building. Please remember to bring your mask with you to church. We will keep plenty of masks on hand in case you forget.

Follow this link to get the latest information from the Department of Public Health:  https://scdph.org/covid-19/#sangamon-county-data-dashboard Thank you for your patience and grace as we take these necessary steps to protect ourselves and our neighbors.

Faith, Fiber and Fellowship

Faith, Fiber and Fellowship will meet Friday, August 5 at 10 am in the commons. We will be stuffing and finishing some Hearts of Love.  Also Don Ecklund is ready for some help with the Cute Turkeys he is making for the Fair Hills Presbyterian home, glueing and painting.

Hope to see you there.

Advocacy and Social Justice

Advocacy and social justice are cornerstones of the work of the Presbyterian Mission Agency.

Both are woven throughout our work in the U.S. and abroad. In the U.S., we advocate for social justice through the Office of Public Witness, which is the public policy information and advocacy office of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
