Tuesday Morning Senior Tennis at Atkinson-Stern
By Johnathon D. Ames
I think our Tuesday morning senior tennis program is a great opportunity for people to come together for the common joy of the sport, and enjoy the community atmosphere with fun, competitive play.
Although I am new, everyone I have met has been great to me, and I really appreciate the acceptance here at ASTC.
As far as my tennis background, I grew up in Mobile, Alabama playing Junior Team Tennis as well as tournaments. I was ranked in Top 10 in the state of Alabama and in the Top 30 in the Southern Section, and also played for St. Paul's Episcopal School where we won the state championship in 2009. I then was offered a scholarship to Spring Hill College where I played collegiate tennis for four years. During my time at Spring Hill College I ran the tennis program in the summer at Camp Sea Gull in North Carolina, and also coached at the Mobile Tennis Center. I am very excited for the opportunity to work here at ASTC, and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Welcome to New Orleans Johnathan!
