Patriot High School Home Build

Last month, students from Patriot High School in School District 49 had a unique chance to collaborate with Jake and Jeremiah from Olson Plumbing & Heating Co. These professionals provided students with a firsthand glimpse into the plumbing industry, allowing them to actively participate in the installation of interior plumbing systems for their home build! The experience was not only educational but also hands-on, fostering valuable learning along the way.

Liberty High School CICC Student in People Magazine!

People Magazine featured Victoria Turner, a former CICC student from Liberty High School's Home Build Program, for her accomplishment in purchasing the house she contributed to building! This Home Build Program is possible through industry donations of time, labor, and materials from members of the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs and CICC. “Four years ago, when I realized I could be a part of a class where we build a house, I thought it'd be a good idea.”

Every month, Olson Plumbing & Heating generously hosts a full day job shadow for students every month, they've already accommodated six students. "The people at Olson plumbing and heating are kind and very accepting, while also helping you learn. They don't have any issues explaining or helping you, my partner (Ryan) was a lot of fun to talk to, and I went to a lot of different places and learned a lot while with him, this opportunity definitely helped me understand HVAC a lot better and I would do it again in a heartbeat" - Darren, Senior at the MiLL
