FEBRUARY IS CTE MONTH!

What is CTE?

Career Technical Education (CTE) combines academic learning with technical training to equip students for successful careers post graduation.

Careers In Construction Colorado is proud to be a CTE program, delivering true construction based technical education to 82 high schools statewide. By integrating hands-on technical training with academic instruction, we are preparing students for rewarding careers in the construction industry every day!

The Stats for Career Technical Education (CTE)

  • 40% of Colorado High School Students (9th-12th Grade) were enrolled in at least 1 CTE class during the 2022-2023 school year
  • 155,427 high school students were enrolled in CTE programs in the 2022-2023 school year.
  • CTE Concentrators (2+ years) have a 15% higher graduation rate than non CTE students

Summit Tiny Home In Breckenridge Magazine!

"We hope to open the kids' eyes to the trades. How cool to have something like a clogged drain and our kids are like, 'I can figure it out. I've built a house.' There's a labor shortage here, a scarcity of on-call tradespeople. We want these kids to stay in the community and have fulfilling work and great lives." - Oakley Van Oss - Instructor at Summit High School
