LAST MONTH RECAP

Southern Colorado Construction Career Days!

What an INCREDIBLE day we had last month! Over 600 students from 21 high schools—15 of which are CICC schools—got the chance to dive into hands-on construction experiences. It was an exciting opportunity for students to explore various construction career paths, with over 40 industry-leading companies in attendance. From operating heavy equipment to bending conduit and building projects, students gained real-world insight into the construction field.

GRANT SPOTLIGHT

DeWALT Grow the Trades 2024 Grant!

CICC was selected as one of 166 organizations that are providing greater accessibility and resources for trades training. With an estimated 500,000 open construction jobs unfilled, DEWALT’s Grow the Trades Grants aim to help close the skilled labor gap by supporting nonprofit organizations that are skilling, reskilling and upskilling tradespeople. Each year, the program awards funding and tool donations as part of a larger $30 million commitment over five years to close the skilled trades gap.

William H. Donner Foundation!

We are excited to announce that the William H. Donner Foundation has awarded CICC another generous grant! We are incredibly proud to be recognized by such a prestigious group. The Donner Foundation is known for supporting impactful initiatives across a wide range of sectors, including environmental efforts, social causes, public policy, and education. Their continued belief in CICC is a testament to the important work we’re doing in building a strong, skilled workforce for the future.
