Crestview has a new Skatepark!

Eglin Federal Credit Union Skatepark had its Grand Opening this past Saturday. This community project was started by Hub City Skate, in partnership with Eglin Federal Credit Union. Check out the new skatepark on Brookmeade Drive by the RC Track (behind the hospital).
One Hopeful Place Receives Donation from
100+ Women Who Care
100+ Women Who Care is a group of 100+ women who meet quarterly and raise thousands of dollars for local nonprofits. One Hopeful Place is their latest, appreciative, recipient of a $12,750 check awarded during the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber's First Friday Coffee this past Friday, June 3rd.
Fort Walton Beach City Manager Honored with
2021 Home Rule Hero Award
The Florida League of Cities recently recognized Fort Walton Beach City Manager Michael Beedie with a 2021 Home Rule Hero Award for his hard work and advocacy efforts during the 2021 Legislative Session. Beedie and other honorees worked tirelessly throughout the Session to promote local voices making local choices, protect the Home Rule powers of Florida’s municipalities and advance the League’s legislative agenda.

“Our partnership with the Florida League of Cities, Inc. is invaluable when it comes to working with state lawmakers to protect the rights and powers of our cities,” said Beedie. “Fort Walton Beach is positioned to have a very bright future.
