Dear Members,

  Good News!

Here are two exciting new opportunities worth exploring on the digital marketing front:

1). Go Digital Canada

Shopify has recently partnered with the Government of Canada to develop a program to help Canadians move their businesses online. This program is intended to launch retailers onto an eCommerce platform through:
  • The provision of free training,
  • 24/7 support and,
  • a 90-day Shopify trial with no subscription fees or transaction fees, access to Shopify POS Pro, and a free Tap & Chip card reader for contactless payments.

The offer is currently valid on new and eligible Canadian merchant registrations completed by October 1, 2020 .

2). Fabrique 1840: call for artists

Fabrique 1840 is Simons’ online store that sells exclusively Canadian artisans. For those who might not be aware, Simons is a Canadian fashion retailer based in Quebec (established in 1840) with 15 brick-and-mortar stores across Canada, one of which is in Park Royal.

According to The Georgia Straight, because Simons is reporting "exponential growth" on Fabrique 1840, it is putting out a call for talent, with a view to expand its roster from 117 to 500.

"Featuring home décor, modern art, fashion accessories, stationery, and more, the e-store has reported $1 million in sales in the last 14 months, even and especially amid social isolation. “We are clearly seeing a renewed interest and desire from Canadian consumers to support and sustain local design and makers of hand-crafted goods,” Peter Simons, president of the Quebec-based brand, said in the announcement this week--( https://www.straight.com/living/simons-puts-out-call-to-indie-artisans-and-designers-for-fabrique-1840-expansion )”.
