Celebrating 35 Years of Episcopal Ministry
Bishop Jerry Lamb was consecrated the bishop of Northern California on June 9, 1991, and served as their sixth bishop for 15 years before retiring - the first time. He was then appointed bishop of Nevada after the election of Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori as presiding bishop. In 2008, he became bishop of San Joaquin after the schism over women clergy and LGBTQIA+ justice. Bishop Lamb was succeeded by Bishop Chet Talton.
Bishop Lamb was born in Denver, CO. Over the years, he earned a B.A. in Philosophy, M.A. in Theology, and M.A. in counseling. Bishop Lamb was ordained to the priesthood in 1977 in the Diocese of Oregon.
Bishop Lamb and Jane were married in 1971. Jane passed away in 2023 after a long illness. Their daughter, Kate, and her wife Kristin bring Bishop Lamb to church as often as they can.

Important Reminder to All Who Give to St. Mark’s
It is very important that you indicate whether your gift is to go to the Operating Fund, Building Fund, or a particular temporary restricted fund. If you have forgotten to do this, please review your most recent quarterly statement of giving and/or your Breeze account to be sure that your donations have been assigned to the correct accounts. The counters who enter your donations into the Breeze system do not have access to the information regarding your pledge and cannot therefore guess what you meant to do.

Donating from IRA Accounts
Required minimum distributions (RMD) are the least amounts of money you must withdraw from your traditional IRA account each year, once you reach a certain age. If you make a qualified charitable contribution directly to St. Mark's for some or all of the RMD, that amount will not be taxed. Your financial advisor or IRA customer service can provide additional details on how to make this type of donation to St. Mark's.

Thank you for your generous gift.
No matter how, how much, or how often you give,
