7 P.M.: Choral Evensong for the Eve of the Ascension

Join us for Evensong on May 28, 7 P.M.

On Wednesday, May 28 at 7 P.M., we celebrate our patronal feast with an Evensong service for the eve of Ascension Day. Mother SuEllen will lead an uplifting, consoling service with traditional Anglican music sung by our Ascension Choir, including music by Ralph Vaughan Williams and John Stainer, as well as beloved traditional Anglican hymns like “Abide with Me.” Evensong is a comforting and accessible service, perfect for welcoming people new to the Anglican tradition, so please invite your friends! A small reception will follow the service. 

Summer Service Schedule

Mark your calendars! We will offer one service at 9 A.M. this summer, from June 15 through September 7. We will return to our regular schedule of two masses at 8 A.M. and 10 A.M. on September 14.

I would like to meet with all of you, individually or in small groups. Please know that these chats are important to me, and to the future of this church. We need to know where we are starting from so that we can go forward together.

I am at Ascension Parish on Tuesdays from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. I am also at the church Wednesdays through Fridays, when my schedule varies, so it is best to meet me by appointment. If you would like to schedule a specific time to meet with me, please give me a call at 971-200-0970. Remember, I do make house calls as well. I am here to be of service to you.

The Collect for the Fourth Sunday in Easter: May 18, 2025

Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
