Dear Ascension Parish family,

The Ascension Choir fall season begins on Sunday, September 21. This season, the choir will rehearse on Sundays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The choir does not sing an anthem every Sunday; instead, we sing three special choral services this season. We will sing an Evensong for All Saints Day on November 1, an Advent Service of Lessons and Carols on December 14, and a Christmas Eve service on December 24. Choir is open to singers aged teen to adult who can read music, and you don’t need to be a member of Ascension to sing with us.

I would like to meet with all of you, individually or in small groups. Please know that these chats are important to me, and to the future of this church. We need to know where we are starting from so that we can go forward together.

I am at Ascension Parish on Tuesdays from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. I am also at the church Wednesdays through Fridays, when my schedule varies, so it is best to meet me by appointment. If you would like to schedule a specific time to meet with me, please give me a call at 971-200-0970. Remember, I do make house calls as well. I am here to be of service to you.

In 1994, the Ascension Parish Cookbook Committee published Ascension Treasured Recipes. I thought it would be fun to share some classics....

This one is great comfort food for a back-to-school, after-school snack, maybe with a cup of tomato soup, and a good chat with Grandpa or whoever is doing the school run.
