Advocacy Featured at EmpowerU Family Night at Weld Central!
Weld Central High School and Weld Central Middle School (Keenesburg Re-3J) hosted the EmpowerU Family Night in support of the student Advocacy Program, funded through the Expelled & At-Risk Student Services (EARSS) grant. Families  enjoyed a fun and interactive night of games, booths, raffles, and a community style dinner. Parents received information and resources on bullying/cyberbullying, accessing their student's data through Infinite Campus, social emotional learning, organization/time management, social media safety, and the dangers of vaping. They also learned about opportunities for summer activities such as experiential trips, courses, summer jobs in government, and more. Many thanks to the staff and community partners for supporting Keenesburg, Lochbue and Hudson families! Generation Schools Network works in partnership with Keenesburg Re-3J and several other districts in support of EARSS grant implementation.

GSN looks forward to supporting schools in Indiana in the coming year! For more information on how GSN can support your school, please contact Katie at  [email protected] .
Recent Feedback on GSN's Turnaround Leadership Program

GSN's Turnaround Leadership Program, in partnership with Colorado State University - Global, and Battelle for Kids (BFK), is currently launching its fourth cohort and preparing to graduate its second cohort. In a recent state report related to a participating school from cohort 2, it was noted that "school leadership reports that the TLP has specifically supported the school in understanding data analysis and implementing data processes to drive instruction" and that "...external partnerships with Connect for Success (CFS) and Generation Schools Network (GSN) have enhanced the ability for school leadership to plan for dramatic change." We look forward to kicking off our next cohort of Turnaround Leadership Program schools with summer retreats beginning next month! And congratulations to Cohort 2!
