Join us for our Parish Picnic on the Day of Pentecost! We will gather on the Windsor campus after the 10:30a worship services to enjoy lawn games, live music and a celebration fit for the Holy Spirit. The parish provides a main dish and beverages. If you would like to bring your favorite side dish, salad or dessert, sign up here. Feel free to join us even if you don’t bring a dish. We invite you to be festive and join in the tradition of wearing red on Pentecost Sunday to remind us of the fire of the Spirit!

The award winning new documentary The Philadelphia Eleven will have its theatrical release in Austin on May 14. Good Shepherd will sponsor a special post-event screening featuring the Rt. Rev. THE RESURRECTION PROMISE,
AN EASTER BIBLE STUDY

The Easter post-resurrection texts are stories of the appearances of the Risen Christ among his disciples and others. The resurrection “promise” will be an inquiry to what happened and the meaning of it to the witnesses who were there. HONORING GRADUATING SENIORS

Each year Good Shepherd honors our graduating high school seniors with a special prayer of blessing and a festive treat on the common following the service. This year we will honor our seniors on Sunday, May 5 during our 10:30a service in the nave. We will also print the names of all graduating seniors who would like to be included in our bulletin on May 5. To help us honor your graduating student and celebrate with your family, please complete this form no later than Sunday, April 28.

The Hill is thrilled to welcome Eddie Dickerson (a well-known fiddler to the Good Shepherd community and previously a member of Communion Cafe’s Holy Ghost Supreme) back to Austin for a one-night-only performance at Music on the Hill.
Eddie brings his duo “The Peacemakers” with partner Jackie Wright to our stage to perform a mix of folk-inspired original songs as well as a few familiar covers. $10 suggested donation, BYOB. At Trinity Streets, we serve meals for 40-65 people coming in off the streets of downtown Austin on Sunday afternoons. Volunteers serve by preparing and serving meals, hosting a worship service for those coming to Trinity Center, and cleaning the kitchen afterwards. To register please click HERE.

FOOD TRUCK PREP + RUNS

Join Good Shepherd’s Team 102 for the Mobile Loaves & Fishes Food Truck prep and run. Sign up to prepare sandwiches and load the truck from 4:00p–5:00p at the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Commissary (at St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church). You may also sign up for the truck run from 5:00p7:00p, where you’ll take food to several locations around Austin. All volunteers are welcome!

COMMUNITY FIRST! VILLAGE: MOVE-INS

Community First! Village (CF!V) is a 51-acre community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness. Come be a part of the Spirit at work in our community. We will meet at Community First! Village and we will be guided to one of the new homes to clean and furnish for unhoused neighbors. This is a wonderful opportunity for families with teens to serve together. All volunteers are welcome. Click HERE to sign up.
