Join us for our Parish Picnic on the Day of Pentecost! We will gather on the Windsor campus after the 10:30a worship services to enjoy lawn games, live music and a celebration fit for the Holy Spirit. The parish provides a main dish (vegetarian and gluten free options, too!) and beverages. If you can bring your favorite side dish, salad or dessert, sign up here. MUSIC ON THE HILL FEATURING THE PEACEMAKERS

The Hill is thrilled to welcome Eddie Dickerson (a well-known fiddler to the Good Shepherd community and previously a member of Communion Cafe’s Holy Ghost Supreme) back to Austin for a one-night-only performance at Music on the Hill.
Eddie brings his duo “The Peacemakers” with partner Jackie Wright to our stage to perform a mix of folk-inspired original songs as well as a few familiar covers. $10 suggested donation, BYOB. THE RESURRECTION PROMISE,
AN EASTER BIBLE STUDY

The Easter post-resurrection texts are stories of the appearances of the Risen Christ among his disciples and others. The resurrection “promise” will be an inquiry to what happened and the meaning of it to the witnesses who were there. Next week we will discuss The Presence of Jesus - Then and Now. CHORAL EVENSONG

Choral Evensong is offered on special Sundays throughout the church year. Evensong, or Evening Prayer, is among our most traditionally Anglican liturgies, witnessing the Church’s ancient devotion of praying each day’s hours. MOM'S BIBLE STUDY WITH KAYLA CRAIG

Mom’s Bible Study hosts a heartfelt and inspiring session with author Kayla Craig, exploring the profound journey of parenting amidst life’s chaos. We will delve into the challenges and joys of raising children while nurturing our own souls, guided by play, presence, and prayer. The doors open at 9:00a in the Windsor, media room for coffee and conversation before the program begins at 9:30a.
Kayla Craig, a former journalist, combines curiosity and compassion in her writing. She’s the author of Every Season Sacred and To Light Their Way and founded the popular Liturgies for Parents Instagram account, weekly podcast, and newsletter. Kayla lives in Iowa with her husband and four children. Register to attend here by Monday, May 20!

She is presently on the organ faculty at California State University, Fullerton, and is Music Director at First Presbyterian Church, Fullerton. Godly Play isn't just for kids! Sure, it's a Sunday School curriculum that invites children into the story of God's love and teaches them a language of faith, but for the adults who lead Godly Play it's also a fun and meaningful way to grow in your own life of faith. We are looking to add faithful and caring adults of all ages to our fantastic team of teachers for Fall of 2024. If you might be called to serve in this way, let us know by filling out this form!

FOOD TRUCK PREP + RUNS

Join Good Shepherd’s Team 102 for the Mobile Loaves & Fishes Food Truck prep and run. Sign up to prepare sandwiches and load the truck from 4:00p–5:00p at the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Commissary (at St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church). You may also sign up for the truck run from 5:00p7:00p, where you’ll take food to several locations around Austin. All volunteers are welcome!

COMMUNITY FIRST! VILLAGE: MOVE-INS

Community First! Village (CF!V) is a 51-acre community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness. Come be a part of the Spirit at work in our community. We will meet at Community First! Village and we will be guided to one of the new homes to clean and furnish for unhoused neighbors. This is a wonderful opportunity for families with teens to serve together. All volunteers are welcome. Click HERE to sign up.
TRINITY STREETS

At Trinity Streets, we serve meals for 40-65 people coming in off the streets of downtown Austin on Sunday afternoons. Volunteers serve by preparing and serving meals, hosting a worship service for those coming to Trinity Center, and cleaning the kitchen afterwards. To register please click HERE.
