Coping with COVID-19

Information is Power
Stay informed with the latest facts from CDC for NH.

Know this is very real, coming fast, and to be taken very seriously.
We can ALL help ~ We all MUST help

First the Basics...
1)Anyone who develops fever or respiratory symptoms , such as a cough or shortness of breath, should stay home and seek health advice by phone from a health care provider to discuss symptoms and any risk factors for COVID-19. Anyone who shows symptoms but does not have a health care provider should contact DHHS at 603-271-4496.

2) Wash your hands thoroughly after Any contact with surfaces outside your home

3) Don't touch your face ~ The virus enters through your nose, mouth and eyes

4) Stay home, avoid public spaces ~ keep 6 feet (sneeze distance) away

This is why we knew we had to close off the bookstore building inside. But we are creating new, creative ways to reach out to our customers by the hour!

Contact us with your requests.
We will hand-pick within the store or order.
We will meet you in the parking lot, arrange to have it delivered to your home, or ship to anywhere.

There are many wonderful efforts afoot in our community to help our neighbors, and to support our local businesses and farmers. You can join in! And let us know what YOU are doing or have heard has started up, and we'll include it in our next newsletter.
IT IS TIME TO GET CREATIVE AND THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! WE ARE GOING TO BE HUNKERING DOWN FOR AWHILE!

Here is what you can do to help the Bookstore

1) Continue to shop with us!
(not Amazon...'nuf said there).
We want to be here for you after this passes! We will do our best to send out videos and personal favorites from the store on FaceBook and Instagram to help you have ideas and choices.
We want this new way of shopping to be fun and as easy as possible!

2) GIFT CERTIFICATES ~ Call us up and we can mail them out to your favorite families - Then they can get books, toys, games and gifts as needed - Think about a regular "care package" coming into the homes you love

3) DONATE a Gift Certificate to a family in need - We are working with the Warner Area Food Pantry/CAP and with Simonds School to identify homes in need

4) REMEMBER we carry the bestsellers, amazing children's books and workbooks,
art supplies, games and toys for all ages, cards galore, plus the wonderful works from our local artists. We can send you photos of their work to mull over.

7) SPREAD THE WORD

Our good neighbors over at
have made huge accommodations to safeguard you and our local food supply. Their product list is on-line, place your order, and get curbside service! At this critical time it is more important than ever to support our local farmers.
Please support the market and they will keep supporting our farmers.
Here's a great way to support our local food chain, keep the farmers in business, and help local families in need. Prospect Farm , a pasture-grazed meat supplier to Warner Public Market, is offering the opportunity for you to make Meat Package Donations directly to our families in need through Warner Community Action Program . Just go to their website, decide what size package to donate, and choose "Warner Area Food Bank" in the Food Bank Selection drop-down. Your contribution helps our more vulnerable families AND our precious farmers.

Our community is rising to the challenge with compassion and creativity, exercising important skills for an uncertain future. When the virus has run its course and we are left to deal with the aftermath, we will be a bit wiser, more resilient, and hopefully much more trusting of each other. We will certainly be transformed, more willing and better able to help build a more just and sustainable world.
