Mission Statement

We will be the body of Christ in our Community by Connecting with God, Growing in Discipleship, and Serving the World.

Next Sermon for October 15th

Dear Oak Grove Family,

This past Sunday we were blessed by Mandy Midgett, as she encouraged us to embrace hope on Children’s Sabbath 2023. Children’s Sabbath is a wonderful way for us to reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the faith of children and youth.

This week marks the end of our 28-day experiment of Dynamite Prayer. Alan and I were reflecting on the experience and decided that we are going to go through the book again. While we found the experience to be both powerful and fruitful, we also found having a new breakthrough prayer and prayer hold each day to be challenging. I would love to hear about your experience with Dynamite Prayer.

This coming Sunday we begin a new sermon series 7 Things 4 Kids based on the short book Seven Things John Wesley Expected Us to Do For Kids by Christopher Miles Ritter. The book is no longer available in print; a digital version can be purchased for $3.11 on Amazon.com. There will not be a corresponding study with this sermon series.

May your week be filled with Grace upon Grace! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Peace & Blessings,

Pastor Amanda

Hello, Dear Church -

We praise God for the amazing start of our young adult ministry this week! The O.G.’s gathered last Tuesday night for a time of fellowship, visioning, and prayer. We had 12 people attend our first night! Thank you, church, for all of your prayers and support for this new small group. (A special thank you to our childcare workers that provided an essential need for parents to attend!) I ask that you continue to lift us up in prayer and to invite the young adults (post-high school through 40) in your life to attend. Our next meeting is October 17th, 6:30-8pm in The Lounge upstairs for food, fellowship, and study discussion. As always, if you have questions, please email me. Thanks be to God!

Blessings,

Pastor Britney

We have some wonderful news to share with you all! We are thrilled to introduce that we are working on a brand new space at Oak Grove United Methodist Church called "Freedom Rocks." This space is designed to be a place for families to gather, connect, and come together in prayer.

One of the exciting updates in this area that has taken place this week is the installation of a new flag pole proudly flying the American flag.

In addition to the flag, we will also be adding our prayer rocks to this space. These prayer rocks will serve as a tangible reminder of the power of prayer and the importance of coming together as a community in times of need and celebration.

May this space serve as a reminder of the blessings we have and an inspiration to pray for those in need, both near and far.

We are so excited to see this space transform over the next few weeks. We look forward to giving you additional updates!
