Mission Statement

We will be the body of Christ in our Community by Connecting with God, Growing in Discipleship, and Serving the World.

Merry Christmas! It was wonderful to celebrate Christmas this past Sunday with festive food, fun fellowship, and meaningful worship for all ages. Our hearts grew three sizes as we Welcomed Christmas and almost 350 people to join our hearts and voices together in reading scripture, singing carols, and hearing the story of Christmas through the ABCs.

One of the underlying lessons from the Christmas story is that it is not only about Jesus but also about the community that it took to announce his presence to the world – the angels, the shepherds, the wisemen, and more. And when it comes to our Christmas worship, it also took a community. My heart is filled with gratitude for everyone who served in some way from playing the bells, singing in the choir, and the praise band to those who served as liturgists, the greeters and the ushers, those who made and served food. Thank you so much!

We will continue celebrating the birth of Jesus this Friday with pizza, gingerbread house making, and a screening of the Benedict Cumberbatch version of Dr. Suess’s The Grinch. Please come and join us for a movie, some drinks and snacks, and a whole lot of joyous celebrating!

Merry Christmas!

Amanda
