Become a Hospice Volunteer!
Good Samaritan Hospice will be hosting four trainings for individuals who might be interested in becoming a Family Service Volunteer for Good Samaritan Hospice's patients and families.

Good Sam is the only community-based, non-profit hospice organization serving the Roanoke Valley as well as New River Valley. As a community-based, non-profit Good Sam relies heavily on the support of compassionate individuals in our community to aid us in providing unparalleled levels of care to those in need of our specialized services.

If you have a heart for helping, please consider attending one of our trainings to become a family service volunteer. Family service volunteers work directly with patients and families, providing companionship, respite, and practical help such as running errands or transportation.
Family service volunteers become a special friend to hospice patients and families in their home or place of residence. Family service volunteers will participate in Good Sam’s comprehensive training program to become familiar with the hospice concept of care, gain experience with communication skills and learn more about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please call or email Good Samaritan Hospice's Roanoke Volunteer Coordinator, Chelsea Charpia at:
