Good Shepherd COVID-19 Precautions Update
As you are probably aware, the COVID infection rate due to the Omicron variant has gone up very significantly in Duval County. We have found the website covidactnow.org to be helpful in tracking COVID infection rates.
The leadership of Good Shepherd has recommended that we go back to wearing masks during the service for the time being until the COVID infection rates go down again. And we will not have a coffee hour for the time being as well.
Love of our neighbor must always be our guiding principle because as Paul writes: “Love does no wrong to a neighbor...” (Romans 13:10). We have all experienced the ups and downs of this pandemic, and the only thing that seems to be certain is change. So we will remain vigilant, flexible, and adapt as circumstances require.
Yours in Christ,
The Rev. Brent Owens, Rector
Paul Arrington, Senior Warden
Anne Graham, Junior Warden
