Join us as we come together to plant flowers, spread mulch, and spruce up the landscaping to create a welcoming and vibrant space to celebrate Holy Week and Easter. No green thumb required—just a willing heart and a love for community!

Don’t miss our final Lenten Supper – tonight

As the Lenten season concludes, we hope you'll join us for our final Lenten Supper tonight, Thursday, April 10th, from 6 until 7:30 PM! We’ll meet in Shepherd’s Hall and enjoy fellowship, lively discussion, and great food! It’s a potluck supper, so be sure to bring a favorite dish to add to the bounty for all to share and enjoy. Stations of the Cross - Friday, April 11 at Noon

Richard Netherby leads walking meditations through the Stations of the Cross at noon on Fridays in Lent. All those interested in deepening their experience during this Holy Season are invited to join Rich in the sanctuary for prayer and the silent contemplation of the Passion. Please meet Rich at the front of the church.

  • On Sundays in Lent, Susan Lewellen is leading a series of classes on Contemplative Prayer at 9 AM in the Ennis Suite. During each session, Susan discusses the history, meaning, and benefits of this ancient practice as well as leading prayer sessions. All are welcome to attend. Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity! April 26

Join Habitat for Humanity of Wake County in building homes and hope this spring.


Wall Raising on Old Poole Place:

Mark your calendars for April 26th! We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to participate in a wall build and raising event for a single-family home on Old Poole Place. This is a fantastic chance to contribute directly to providing affordable housing in our community. Volunteers from the Church of the Good Shepherd will be assisting lunch for all volunteers on the 26th as well. Register today at: https://vhub.at/faithbuilders.

Advocacy Day 2025 Postcard Campaign


As part of Advocacy Day 2025, Episcopalians across the Diocese of North Carolina are once again invited to add their voices to those meeting in person with legislators. You can do this by taking part in the Advocacy Day 2025 postcard campaign.


You may pick up your postcard from the bulletin board located in the PLC's front entrance. Write a note to your NC legislator and then drop it in the mailbox directly below the bulletin board. Please submit your postcard by May 1st. Meredith Swindell will collect the postcards and return them to Diocesan House.

ReNew Hope Donation Drive - Contribute by May 1

The Outreach Committee is excited to announce a spring donation drive supporting ReNew Mobile Showers, leading up to a community outreach event in Moore Square on May 1st! To learn more about ReNew visit here.


Will be collecting these much-needed items through May 1 (see list below). Your generosity will directly contribute to restoring dignity and providing essential care.

ONE Wake Update


DATE CHANGE:  The Cary Town Council meeting previously scheduled for April 10th has been moved to April 24th at 6:30. Greenwood Forest Baptist Church is working with other agencies to convert part of their property to affordable housing, along with space for early childhood education and family support services. This proposal will be heard publicly at that meeting and we need supporters in the seats! Register here in advance. Questions? Contact onewake@stpaulscary.org.

Beyond Our Doors Community Lunch -4.6.25


A beautiful, warm weather Sunday brought together many to fellowship at our most recent community lunch. Chef Anthony prepared a scrumptious carrot soup to compliment the meal. We had guests Pamela Owens and volunteers from ReNew Mobile Showers distributing personal hygiene bags. A special "thank you" to Camm Fyfe, Carolyn and Vince Manley, Cindy Voegeli, Debbie and Mike Hostetter, Jeff Whittaker, Sharon Booth, Shirley Sullivan, Whitney Cain, Betty Dietz, Paisley Ward, Jeffrey Cline, Stephen McCann and Logan Dreifuss. Have you ever wondered what happens to your trash when it leaves the curb?

Collection day is the first day in a long life for your trash. Join us for a FREE tour of the South Wake Landfill to find out how Wake County Waste Management Division safeguards the environment and public health by safely disposing of over 1.1 million people's garbage. On the tour, you will also learn:


  • How municipal landfills are designed and operated
  • Where you can recycle additional items, not picked up at the curb
  • Where to dispose of harmful household items safely
  • How to reduce waste at home, school or work

  • When: Friday, May 9th
  • Time: 10:30am – tour lasts approximately 90 minutes
  • Where: We will meet at the South Wake Landfill (6330 Old Smith Road, Apex NC), once there we will board a bus with an environmental educator for a riding tour of the South Wake Solid Waste Management Facility.

9:45 Easter Egg Dash…meet at 9:30 in front of the Parish Life Center--and don’t forget to bring your basket!


Immediately following the Egg Dash, please be sure to gather on the front porch of the church to collect your flower(s) for Flowering of the Cross during the 10:15 worship service! You’ll process into the church with the clergy and choir during the entrance hymn.
