Say hello to the newly formed Good Shepherd Choir!

These choristers in grades K-2 are so excited to be singing and praising God together in their choir robes! They will sing for the 10:15am Eucharist on Sunday October 5.

Learn more about our music programs on the website.

Family Weekend is Finally Here!

On Friday, 37 of our dearly beloved, including Rev. Imogen and Rev. Justin, will be heading off to the coast for our parish's Family Weekend at The Trinity Center. They'll be spending the weekend praying and playing. Please keep them in your prayers for safe travels and a refreshing experience. Meanwhile, back at home, Rev. Nancy Allison and the Rev. Miriam Saxon will be our preacher and celebrant, respectively, at both Sunday worship services.

Announcing a New Fellowship Group!

Kaffeeklatsch

Would you enjoy some coffee, conversation, and community? Then join us each Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 AM starting October 1, 2025 at Cafe Carolina. There is no other agenda. We just want to talk and enjoy each other's company, and maybe have a cup of coffee or tea. Parking for Cafe Carolina is free at 2128 Clark Avenue in the Village District, just follow the signs. If you have any questions, please contact Jean Knepley OR 586.216.2369.

Celebration of Life Service for Michael Riddle- September 27

A service to celebrate and give thanks for the life of our dearly beloved brother in Christ, Michael Riddle, will be held at the church on Saturday, September 27th at 2 PM. The parish will host a reception for family and friends in Shepherd's Hall immediately following the service. Anyone who would like to contribute food items for the reception are invited to contact Molly Propst (919.523.8142).

Parents of Kids Aged 4 to 5th Grade - Join us September 28

Are you curious about a typical Godly Play lesson? You are invited to a brief overview/Q&A session with Carolyn and Elizabeth in the Godly Play room on the second floor (Room 304) at 9:15 on Sunday, September 28th.

Commitment Sunday, September 28

Please bring your completed 2026 Annual Giving Estimate card with you to church. The cards will be collected, blessed, and offered to the glory of God during both the 8 and 10:15 services.

And be sure to enjoy the STEWardship lunch immediately following the 10:15 worship service! A beloved parish tradition: homemade delicious Brunswick stew as we enjoy fellowship and strengthen our community. Learn more about our Annual Giving Campaign:

Monthly Men’s Fellowship Lunch – October 9

Men’s Fellowship Lunches take place on the SECOND THURSDAY of each month at 12 NOON at High Park Grill (625 E. Whitaker Mill Road). Come enjoy lively fellowship and a reasonably priced meal--no reservation is required and everyone is welcome! Contact: Jack Boyne (919.832.3641)

Cheshire House Lunches

Good Shepherd is signed up to feed the Cheshire House group (Episcopal Campus Ministry at NCSU) on a few Sundays this Fall Semester. We are responsible for providing a meal for 15-20 people, following their Sunday worship service. Please provide a vegetarian option. We are not aware of any other dietary restrictions at this time.  In addition to the meal, please include a bag of fruit and a dessert. No drinks or paper products are needed. Food must arrive between 11am-12pm. I listed two slots per Sunday in case you would like to buddy up. However, if you want to cover a whole Sunday just select both slots. Questions? Email Karen Boyne . Thank you!

Can You Help with Our Livestream Ministry?

Our livestream ministry is vital, connecting us with homebound members and extending our reach far beyond Raleigh. If you're interested in learning more about this impactful ministry and exploring if it is something you would be available to assist with, please contact Ed Sharp or Craig DeShong
