It brings a smile to my face to see the information pouring in about upcoming handbell events. Already, for Spring 2024, there is information about Snake River Handbell Conference in February, Coppers Classic in early April, Big Sky Handbell Festival in late April, and Siskiyou Summit Handbell Conference in May. Oh! Siskiyou Summit is on my birthday. Maybe I'll give myself a birthday present and attend.

Come and join many other handbell musicians ringing six great pieces under the direction of Michael Joy. The pieces are level 2-3 incorporating various music styles, techniques, and seasons. The weekend begins with set-up Friday, February 10 in the late afternoon with the opening rehearsal at 6:30 pm. It continues Saturday beginning at 9:00 am and concludes with a concert for the community at 6:30 pm.

Cost is $55 per person postmarked on or before December 15, 2023 and $65 after December 15. This includes all conference activities plus snacks on Saturday. A $10 discount is offered for 2 or more from the same immediate family. The first family member pays full price; each additional person from the family is $10 less.

Scholarships. We have scholarships for Area 10 musicians! More than two!! Our alum feels so strongly that we should have access for musicians regardless of finances that they give to create opportunities. The 2024 edition of Siskiyou Summit will return to the Friday evening to Saturday evening event, featuring Massed and Division ringing and classes to help you hone you artistry and ringing techniques.

We will celebrate Vintage classic handbell compositions and arrangements from our favorite handbell composers from the 1980s and 1990s and Vogue handbell compositions and arrangements from some of the younger, up and coming composers of the 2000s to the present.
