HIGHER: Living Out the Sermon on the Mount
Series Continues!

Today, Pastor Phil continues our series as he looks at Jesus' examples of how powerful our life can be when we live it from a heart that has been transformed and pointed towards God. There's also a special opening from our PGCC Kids.
Please share the link to our worship service with your family, friends, neighbors and complete strangers. Oh, and if you like it, click the “Like” button on the YouTube page and/or leave a comment.

How Did You Do on the
Just in case you missed it from Friday, we're including it again today.
Answers will be in tomorrow's email.
Can you find the names of 16 books of the Bible hidden in the following paragraph? Pastor Phil managed to find 15 (it took 3 tries). Good luck.

I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible (merely by a fluke). It kept people looking so hard for the facts and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the name of the books were not capitalized, but the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now.

1. Donate to the Food Bank
The need there is unprecedented right now. We will collect food items all week long. Just drop off your nonperishable items in the grey container next to the doors on the west side of the church where the drive-thru portico is. Someone will pick up your donation each evening. Get your neighbors involved! Ask them to make donations as well and then offer to pick their donations up and bring them to the church.

2. Neighborhood Outreach Called "NEED PRAYER?"
We are going to launch a way for people in the community to contact us and ask for prayer.  We need people willing to pray   when a prayer request is received .

PLEASE CONTACT US IF INTERESTED   and we will give you the details. You can decide if this is a way you would like to serve God and minister to others. We can't launch this until we have enough volunteers willing to pray.

3. Send a Thank You Note to Our Local Grocery Store Workers!
The people who are making sure we have food available are also taking risks to do so. They interact with more people in an hour than most of us have interacted with in a month dramatically increasing their risk of catching COVID-19.  Let's show them God's love by expressing our gratitude.

There are 103 employees at the Raley's on Pleasant Grove and Woodcreek Oaks and we have 70 more to assign! Would you be willing to write a thank you note to a few of them?  Once these 70 are assigned, each employee at Raley's will receive 3 cards of appreciation from our church family!

Here's how:
  1. Contact the office at
  2. Let us know how many cards you want to write (you provide the card or stationary)
  3. We will email you a list of names and give you instructions on how to send the cards or notes.

It will cost you a little time. It may cost you a little money. But what price can you put on sharing the light of Christ and brightening someone's day? Our hope is that all of you will participate!

4. Send a Thank You to our Fire Fighters and Police Officers
