Update on Multi-Platform Services

Northshore Church is pleased to announce that our services are now

both In-Person and Remote (Zoom)! Please note:

  • Proof of vaccination must be provided either prior to, or on the date of, your first in-person attendance at church. All are invited and encouraged to provide your proof of vaccination to the church in advance. If you wish to do so, please send a scan or a photo of your Covid-19 vaccination card to our administrator, Nancy Paskowski, at nsuu@verizon.net, with the word "Vaccination" in the subject line.
  • Everyone must sign in to the logbook at the Greeter table each week.
  • All attendees must be masked at all times while in the church building.
  • There will be no shared food or beverages.
  • Cares and Celebrations may be spoken from the podium microphone at the front of the church or recorded in a notebook at the sanctuary entrance at any time prior to that portion of the service, when they will be read aloud.
  • The services will continue to be simultaneously broadcast on the Zoom platform for those who wish to continue remote participation.

The Multi-Platform Service Task Force will continue to monitor conditions

and will be prepared to make changes to attendance guidelines as may be needed.

It is wonderful to have the option to be together in person for services again.

Thank you all for your understanding and flexibility during these evolving times.

Easter Sunday

Rev. Carol Strecker speaking

This Easter we’ll explore what it might mean to wake from the dead, to the wonder of life renewing itself in the natural world and in the human heart. What is it that has the power to wake us up? To startle us? To open our eyes, our minds, our hearts to new ways of seeing and being in the world?

Earth Day Celebration

Green Sanctuary Team and Guests

Join the Green Sanctuary Team and guests for our annual Earth Day Celebration. The seventh principle of Unitarian Universalism calls us to affirm and promote the interconnected web of all existence of which we are a part. There has never been a more important time to deepen our sense of connection with all that is and the reciprocity of our relationship with the Earth. The Earth will only take care of us if we take care of the Earth.

Indigenous Peoples Study Group

On Earth Day, April 24 we will be sponsoring a speaker following the Sunday Service.

Title: Indigenous People of the North Shore.

The speaker is Mary Ellen Lepionka of Gloucester, a retired anthropologist, college instructor and textbook editor embarked on a study of archeology and indigenous history of Essex County. A zoom presentation. Other UU churches will be invited to join us. You can watch this from the sanctuary or from your home on Zoom.

Donations are still urgently needed

for the survival of Afghan women and families

We have helped 14 families so far to keep a roof over their heads as well as supplied food & fuel for heat and cooking!  Also, these homes are safe houses for others on the run from the Taliban. We are giving hope to those who have been left with no hope. Rachel Williams is coordinating this effort and has ways to get funds directly to these people. Please make checks payable to Help Women Heal, Inc. and send to Rachel Williams, 6219 Palma Del Mar Blvd S, St. Petersburg, FL 33715

UU Mass Action Advocacy Day

An annual day to meet with legislative representatives and advocate for numerous issues including climate, indigenous rights, decarceration and solitary confinement, immigrant and economic justice issues will be on Tuesday, April 12,2022 (both in-person and via Zoom). To register and get info on training, go to Annual UU Advocacy Day — Unitarian Universalist Mass Action (uumassaction.org)

Donations for Danvers Food Pantry and Operation Troop Support

With people back in the sanctuary, we are collecting items for these two important causes. Leave your donations in the baskets which can be found in Fellowship Hall.

Action for Earth Day
