Gerri Cannon is a New Hampshire State Representative and a spokesperson for transgender equality. She says, "I grew up learning that men and women had defined societal roles. What if you feel that you don't fit? How do you break out of your own learned personal biases? I'll share my journey and breaking all the expectations along the way."

We welcome our first Guest Musician of the 2022-23 year this Sunday!


David Benjamin will join us on clarinet in a soulful musical tribute of the Jewish High Holidays. David joins the Singing Group in a lovely Yiddish Folk Song with Clarinet obligato. David will also perform a longer work for Clarinet and Piano entitled "Jewish Vintage" which will feature 6 different songs of Jewish origin from all around the world.

1. Reach out to everyone you know & invite them to register for free tickets. We will ticket this event by reservation for a

1 pm-2:30 pm time slot, 2:30 to 4:00 pm time slot, and a final slot from 4 pm to 5:30.

Let's make this a huge success both financially and socially, as we invite the community to share in our treasured space and talented members. Remember that this art sale is very reasonably priced for all budgets...$30 to $300.

Welcoming Gerri Cannon for October 2nd Sunday Service

"Stepping Out of the Shadows-Ignoring Social Stereotypes." 

The Social Action Committee will be starting our Welcoming Congregations renewal program with a service entitled "Stepping Out of the Shadows-Ignoring Social Stereotypes." The speaker will be Gerri Cannon. Gerri is a spokesperson for transgender equality. She has been discussing topics for Speak Out Boston, PFLAG, Freedom NH and with thNH State Legislature for over 25 years. She will share her journey and breaking all the expectations along the way. There will be a brief question and answer session after the church service.


FOOD DONATIONS

Food donations for Danvers Food Pantry can be placed in the basket in Fellowship Hall. We will dedicate the first Sunday of every month as Food Sunday. Please bring canned or jarred items only. Thank you.

NSUU Sunday Strolls

Have Started


Sunday Strolls run through November 20. 

We need volunteers to lead each stroll.

Stroll Leaders:

·      Pick a favorite place – especially one you’ve been to recently - to go for a

1½-2-hour stroll

·      Pick a meeting place

·      Consider parking, bugs, path smoothness, grades, water hazards

·      Establish whether there are parking restrictions

·      Establish dog-friendliness of the place

·      Work with the Stroller Coordinator, Bob Ferris, to get the information out to the congregation.
