"Returning Home: The Art of Taking Refuge"

Rev. Carol Strecker speaking

We all get disoriented from time to time, lost in the dark, not knowing which way to go. It can leave us feeling vulnerable, isolated and alone. Finding our way home begins by stopping and allowing ourselves to be present in the moment long enough to take refuge in one another.

Sunday Service

10:30 A.M.

Join us in the sanctuary or via Zoom

"Diversity, Equity and Inclusion"

Lecolion Washington, Bassoon and Guest Speaker

World-renowned bassoonist Lecolion Washington, current Executive Director of the Community Music Center of Boston, will be sharing both his musical talent and his expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion with the congregation and the community. In addition to his talk, he will be performing Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, second movement, and Bayou Home by William Grant Still. His third selection will be an unaccompanied solo.

Among arts leaders in Boston, Lecolion has become prominent for his commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion among non-profit boards, administration, faculty and students. A coffee hour, following the service, will allow members and guests to meet Mr. Washington.

Social Action

ADVOCACY DAY WITH UU MASS ACTION

The annual date for Advocacy Day with UU Mass Action is Tuesday, March 28th. This day is set aside to meet with other UU folks to advocate with legislators to support a number of important bills supporting decarceration and economic, climate, indigenous and immigrant justice. It would be great if a group of us could represent the church in supporting this event. For more info go to uumassaction.org and/or contact Cheryl Ferris

SHARE-THE-PLATE

On Sunday, March 19th, we will be having a Share-the Plate for Community Music Center of Boston, a non-profit arts education program directed by our speaker on that day, Lecolion Washington. Founded in 1910, CMCB is the largest external provider of arts education to Boston Public Schools and also provides services to preschools and seniors.
