There are so many benefits to volunteering. Thanks to all those who help build an inclusive community. ABLE2's volunteers create caring, collaborative, and compassionate communities. We celebrate the contributions of ABLE2's volunteers: their actions, their understanding, and their genuine concern for the world around them. This profoundly human connection is at the heart of healthier individuals and stronger communities.

Time: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Registration for the AGM will close May 31, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

To be able to exercise your right to vote at the Annual General Meeting you will need to purchase a membership no later than May 8, 2022. A purchase of membership after May 8 will not qualify you to vote at this year’s AGM.

Remembering and Celebrating Friends

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of a Friend, David Froom. David was part of our Matching Program and he contributed to many of our events by sharing his musical talents. His match, Philip, says "David was an extraordinary guy who lead a quiet life. We bonded over music, supper and chats. I will miss him."

Everyone at ABLE2 was sorry to hear about the recent passing of Zachary Bonnah. Zachary was a long-time member of the ABLE2 community. He wanted to be ‘one of the guys’ and proved that he was by seizing the opportunities offered to him and surpassing expectations. He was well known as someone who couldn’t be held back and lived life to the fullest by realizing many exploits ranging from ziplining between provinces to white water rafting on the Ottawa River. Zachary will be greatly missed by those who knew him. We wish to extend our sympathies for this great loss to his parents, Gregory Bonnah and Marilyn Saunders, his family, and many friends.

Grow Education Series

Our virtual workshop series is currently offered free of charge and will answer questions and give helpful tips and tools to help create a safe and secure future for people with disabilities and their families. Our workshops are ideal for people with disabilities, their families and professionals in the community.
