From the Pledge Committee
This church holds numerous joys: marriages celebrated, babies baptized, cakes auctioned, pageants acted, hymns sung. And so many more moments that seem unheralded because much of what draws us to church is the mundane made joyful.
There are the moments when we come together to collectively grieve through challenges both personal and communal, felt throughout our city and nation. We hold space in trying times to pray together, in silent moments of reflection, to commemorate lives lost through senseless violence, moments of collective anguish which require collective action, and funerals which celebrate a life and tend the sorrow for those left behind.
We recognize that the volume of our needs to celebrate the good times and face the tough times has grown in the last few years, with each worship service now fuller than ever before and our attendance on a regular Sunday more than double this year than in 2021. With these growing needs come growing requirements to provide support in tangible ways, whether providing for more clerical support with Colin’s ordination or new ways to support our Atrium staff who lovingly care for our children each Sunday.
Your pledge is an annual financial commitment to this church community that helps our leadership in the clergy and the vestry have an accurate sense of what they can count on to financially support our numerous activities in 2026. These pledges are important even if you are brand new to our community, and any amount aligned with your current ability to give is invaluable.
Each of you will have received an email on October 11 about the pledge portal being open, and you are now able to register your pledge for 2026 online. If you have any further questions about what a pledge is, please reach out to a member of our pledge committee or a vestry member. And if you’re still deciding whether to give, you will have the chance to hear a little more testimony from your fellow parishioners about why they pledge during services this Sunday.
Thank you to each of you for your generosity, both financially and in the ways you show up for each other in good times and in tough times. All Saints is a stable grounding presence for so many of us precisely because of this community, and your growing financial commitment in 2026 will be an important help to continue shaping that presence in each of our lives.
