My name is Brent Lucia and I’m a professor at UConn’s School of Business. I’m curious about how students are using AI in their academic environments and would love to hear from you. This Cultural Fair gives students the opportunity to interact with academic fellows visiting from 11 countries in Southeast Asia, learn about the countries’ history and culture, and share their own U.S. perspectives with the international visitors.
To have this count as an Honors Event, students will have to engage with representatives from at least 5 different countries.

This is a 10-hour a week, paid student labor position (Storrs only) supporting the MATH 1070 online course. To be successful in this position a student must have earned an A in the course you intend to support and have a GPA of at least a 3.0. SI leaders must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. SI leaders must have empathy, understanding, and commitment to helping students learn. This position requires the SI leader to be self-motivated and be able to work independently and in teams with limited supervision.
Responsibilities: This is a 10 hour a week, student labor position consisting of:
· Attend all class lectures (except labs), take notes, and read course materials.
· Conduct sessions 2x a week for 1 hour addressing current content.
· Hold office hours 1x a week for 2 hours in the AAC.
· Promote SI regularly through classroom announcements and emailing students.
· Facilitate interactive learning activities that integrate study strategies with course content.
· Conduct exam review sessions as needed.
· Attend scheduled meetings with AAC team as needed.
· Model outstanding student behavior and successful academic practices
Training: Students who are interested in becoming a SI leader will attend a pre-semester training held the week before classes start.

| | MENT/FNCE 4895: The Business of Institutional Asset Management | | |
While there are several courses offered in the business school that teach investment fundamentals, this is the only course designed to give students an understanding of the asset management industry from a business perspective. This course will help you acquire the knowledge and understanding of this exciting industry and prepare you for that important interview or your first days on the job. Half the course will cover real issues faced by asset management firms and the other half of the course will be devoted to topical issues that are relevant and debated within the industry today.
This course is offered Mondays & Wednesdays from 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM during fall 2025.

HRACC's Jim Roberts Scholarship is a one-time award of up to $2,000, awarded annually. Jim was the Executive Director for HRACC for more than 15 years, and this scholarship is named after him in honor of all that he did to grow our chapter.
The Human Resource Association of Central CT College Relations Committee considers and selects scholarship recipients based upon the Scholarship Committee’s established criteria.
