Starting Over, Moving Forward:
Yesenia’s Story
It’s difficult to capture the strength and courage it takes for women who were leaders and professionals in their home countries to start from scratch in the U.S., but at GFK, we have the privilege of witnessing it every day.
Yesenia is one of those remarkable women.
In her home country, Yesenia built a successful career as a certified life coach. When she arrived in the U.S., she brought not just her credentials, but also a powerful vision: to support parents of children with disabilities — a journey she knows intimately as the mother of a child with Down syndrome.
Her program, The Art of Guiding With Love, blends professional expertise, personal experience, and a deep commitment to building community. It provides a safe, supportive space for parents navigating the unique challenges of raising children with special needs, helping them connect with patience, love, and resilience.
From our first meeting, Yesenia’s compassion and determination stood out. At Good For Kids, we’ve been proud to support her in developing and promoting her program, and connecting her with families and organizations that recognize the value of what she offers.
