We are so proud of you, Maria!

Congratulations to Maria who recently graduated with near perfect scores from the BOCES Cosmetology program.

Maria moved us so much with her stories of the underserved elderly residents of a local nursing home in which she worked as an aide. On her own time, she groomed their hair and nails in a kind effort improve their quality of life. However, she was told she could not continue until she was licensed.

That is when she approached Good for Kids about an Opportunity Grant through which we offered partial support of her tuition costs. We are so honored to be helping Maria meet her goal of becoming a licensed cosmetologist!
