Rosa is a highly accomplished seamstress who has successfully turned her skills into a thriving sewing business. Working largely from home to accommodate the needs of her son, Rosa is always looking for ways to update her skills.

Good for Kids was pleased to have helped her do just that with a grant to attend the prestigious Custom Workroom Conference, an annual educational event and trade show specifically related to custom drapery and upholstery workrooms, one of Rosa's key areas of focus. Rosa (pictured above-right at the conference with of her instructors) raved: "The conference was great! The instructors were excellent; I acquired a great deal of valuable information."

Rosa will now be sharing her new skills with the students she teaches twice weekly at The Community Center’s Community Studio, thereby making this experience a win-win!
