NBDC develops a unique customized professional development program
Omaha Steaks International recognizes the value of fostering innovation and investing in high-potential talent. The company recently challenged a group of employees, who had demonstrated passion for the brand, creativity and innovative thinking, to come up with project ideas around increasing revenue or reducing costs. The goal was to engage the most inventive employees, but also to benefit from their productive ideas.
Omaha Steaks' marketing department contracted with NBDC to deliver a training program that would help these employees improve skills in influencing-up, project management, leading change and persuasive presentation while developing a strong business case for their ideas.
At the end of the program, 23 proposals were presented. From these, eight projects were selected by an executive panel and are now in different stages of implementation.
