As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the ways in which we advanced our mission of empowering faculty, administrators, and staff at community and technical colleges to advance professionally, achieve excellence, create meaningful impact, and receive well-deserved recognition.

2024 YEAR IN REVIEW

WEBINARS. If you missed one of the 23 webinars offered in 2024, don't worry! All NISOD webinars are recorded and available on demand for NISOD members. Be sure to check out the webinars currently scheduled for 2025!

VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS. Twelve virtual workshops provided opportunities for synchronous interactions between participants, the facilitator, and the content in meaningful and fun ways.

INNOVATION ABSTRACTS. NISOD’s flagship publication, written by and for community and technical college practitioners, presents ideas about programs, projects, and strategies that improve your students’ learning and engagement. Check out the 17 Innovation Abstracts published in 2024.

STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST. In 2024, 147 students participated in the Student Essay Contest. Be sure to let your students know about this wonderful opportunity! Learn more.

STUDENT GRAPHIC DESIGN CONTEST. In 2024, 149 students participated in the Student Graphic Design Contest. Provide your students with information on how to participate!

MOST PROMISING PLACES TO WORK IN COMMUNITY COLLEGES. In 2024, 18 colleges were recognized as a Most Promising Place to Work in Community Colleges, based on results of a comprehensive survey that examines the extent to which diversity and inclusion permeates various aspects (e.g., administrative structures, commitments, work environments, staffing practices) of participating NISOD-member institutions.

EXCELLENCE AWARDS. In 2024, 1,207 individuals from NISOD-member colleges received this award. Find out how your college can participate.

REGIONAL WORKSHOPS. The NISOD team hit the road and co-hosted 18 Regional Workshops with community and technical colleges all around the United States. Let us bring professional development opportunities directly to you! Learn more about hosting a workshop on your campus.

VOLUNTEERS. There were 47 individuals who volunteered at our annual and virtual conferences this year. We're thankful for their support!
