Introducing Our New Program Associate
Everyone, meet Connor.

As Program Associate, he will help coordinate our Courses & Certificate Programs, in addition to writing many of these emails.

Course Updates
Training of Trainers

With the relaunch of our Certificate Programs, many of our students wrapped up their first Training of Trainers in mid December.  Veteran instructors Owen Taylor and Greg Anderson welcomed a mix of Certificate Program students, along with Farm School alumnae and TOT apprentice Katherine Chiu.  Students learned about popular education practices and a variety of pedagogical tools for facilitating engaging workshops, pictured here at the Brooklyn Grange office.

Food Justice

Our next course, Food Justice, is lead by Farmer Yon, Yonnette Fleming, a powerful farmer, activist, and herbalist. Farmer Yon developed the course and has taught it since its inception. Her students explore the economic, political, and social disparities present in our food systems, and take part in a weekend-long Undoing Racism training.   Farmer Yon farms and reached justice by example at Hattie Carthan Community Garden in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where she has served for over a decade.
