Our New Home Opening to the Public in May!

April brings Churchill's and our team great news with the relocation! With the help of City of Cincinnati officials, the dedication of the construction crew, and the fighter spirit in our team, we were able to achieve the impossible and obtained key certificates and licenses before leaving Hyde Park!

With the key elements now in place, we are thrilled to let you know that our Madisonville location will be open to the public soon. Stay tuned for our soft launch in May and visit us at 6709 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH, 45227. You will be greeted by the beautiful magnolia tree, colorful roses, azaleas, and hydrangeas on your way to the front door of our new home. We will also start planning for our grand opening in June. The dates for both the soft launch and the grand opening will be announced soon.

As we prepare for this next chapter, our Hyde Park location will remain open until April 27th and and we encourage you to visit and stock up on your favorite teas. During the Hyde Park location transition to Madisonville, our Findlay Market location and online store will continue serving you. Expect the online orders to take 3-5 business days more than usual as we pack up and unpack. Soon In May, we will be ready to welcome you at our new Madisonville location. Remember to get the 10% coupon for the Madisonville new location next time you visit us in our shops!

Fueling inspiration, one steep at a time,

Goodbye Hyde Park Neighborhood

A big THANK YOU to those who read our March newsletter and joined us for our farewell tea party on April 10th!

I couldn't think of a better way to say a proper goodbye to Hyde Park. We had a great time getting to know you in person and hang out as one

tea-loving community laughing and celebrating small wins in the hardships of relocation and tariffs together. We also celebrated our team member Evan with his family and took one last photo with him (the one you see here) before his big move to Australia.

If you visit our Hyde Park shop this week, you will notice the on-going packing and and reduced merchandise on the shelves. Our team is quietly but emotionally saying goodbye to Hyde Park as we pack up. Our last day of service at Hyde Park is April 27th. Thank you all for your understanding and support throughout this journey!

Impact of Tariffs on Tea??

In most tea cultures from Asia to Eastern Europe and South America, teas and herbs are the home remedy to enhance life quality and support health for people that can't afford to go to the doctors or for people that opt for alternative/ holistic health practice.

We believe tea is an essential product for life and we try to keep the price reasonable for people to enjoy and to support health with our high quality products. While many of our teas are organic and/or kosher teas, we do not pursue the Organic certification and gave up our Kosher Certification in order to keep our high quality tea affordable and enjoyable for everyone. The same philosophy will apply to the impacts of tariffs.

We will have to slightly increase the price in May or June, depending on the changes the administration continues to make, since we have already been hit with tariffs by various suppliers. We might also temporarily limit availability on some teas and recommend alternatives to you when you shop with us. After all, why not enjoy teas that will be only 10% higher price when some are hit with a 145% price hike? Luckily Churchill's has a massive collection of teas and we are confident we will be able to find you teas that are less impacted by the tariffs and still very enjoyable to you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or my team if you have more questions on the impacts of tariffs.

Which tea to try on warmer days?

White Wedding Blend a delicate white tea infused with lemon, vanilla, and rose petals. A delightful way to kick off wedding season and celebrate any occasion.

Kyoto Cherry Rose Green tea with sweet cherry and fragrant rose petals this tea represents the cherry blossom season well and is an ideal sip for watching the flowers bloom.

Sencha Samurai Green tea a calming steamed tea brews bright green in color reminiscent of the growing spring grass with a spinach-like aroma, vegetal notes, and a sweet umami finish this tea is quintessential to spring time tea.

Evening Garden Green Rooibos an artisan house blend with earthy notes of green rooibos and tulsi blended with the relaxing aroma of jasmine petals to create a lovely caffeine-free blend to sip while preparing your garden or simply to enjoy the pleasant spring atmosphere.
