On Friday, September 15th, Sisters Academy of Baltimore held a special Mass with the theme, “Blessed is She,” to welcome the students to a new school year, celebrate Our Lady’s birthday, and install Mrs. Kaliq Hunter Simms as the second President of Sisters Academy. Congratulations to Mrs. Simms on her new position!
Founded in 2004 by four religious congregations, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Sisters of Bon Secours, Sisters of Mercy, and Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Sisters Academy is a Catholic, community-centered middle school that educates girls of different races, ethnic groups, and religions, from families of limited economic means, particularly those in southwest Baltimore.
