Remembering Sister Kathleen Walsh, SNDdeN (1949 - 2023)

During her years as a Sister of Notre Dame, Sister Kathleen Walsh served in many ministries throughout New England and Maryland, including her roles as teacher and principal at East Boston Central Catholic and St. Augustine School, Lawrence, Mass. Sister Kathleen enjoyed working with the elderly and found great joy assisting at several elder care communities.

Sister Kathleen went home to her good God on May 31, 2023.

Remembering Sister Gertrude Mahoney, SNDdeN (1930 - 2023)

Sister Gertrude Mahoney was known for her knowledge of business and finance. She received an MBA from Boston University, and shared her business acumen with the Notre Dame community in her roles as Treasurer of Emmanuel College and of the SNDdeN Ipswich Province, and as Management Consultant for the Oblates of the Virgin Mary.

Sister Gertrude passed away on June 1, 2023.

Remembering Sister Monica Belber, SNDdeN (1943 - 2023)

Sister Monica Belber joined the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 2005. Known for her gentle spirit and kindness, she served in ministry as a hospital chaplain in Baltimore and New York. Sister Monica earned her BS in Education from State University of New York and her Masters in Theology from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception.

Sister Monica went home to her good God on June 10, 2023.

Celebrating the Life of Sister Helen Dugan, SNDdeN (1919 - 2020)

Sister Helen (Thomas Julie) Dugan, SNDdeN, a beloved member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur community, passed away in 2020.

Join us for a Celebration of Sister Helen's life on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in the Cunningham Memorial Chapel in Belmont, at 11:00 am PT.
