JOB & TRAINING SERVICES

The journey to a fulfilling career looks different for each and every person. That's why our job and training services are not one-size-fits all; our career navigators create progress plans tailored to each individual. Are you seeking to overcome barriers and face the unknowns of navigating your personal career path? Then Career Navigation is for you. Reach out and we will guide you each step of the way.

Often, our job and training services led to sustainable employment with a community partner.

Individuals like James Webb, Jr., who reached out to Career Navigation last year. James worked with a career navigator to

identify his strengths, build his skills, and align his experience

with opportunities in the healthcare sector. James is now employed with Carilion Clinic and is excited to work in a meaningful field.

James says, "Amber has been a motivation to me and has helped me as a career navigator to gain employment. She was very encouraging to help me find a job that I am passionate about. Her help was a tremendous blessing."

Another recent success story comes from Rebecca

Westbrook. Rebecca reached out to Career Navigation with the goal of earning her driver's license to become more independent.

The main barrier Rebecca faced was reading and comprehending study materials for the learner's permit test. A career navigator worked closely with

Rebecca to find tailored support that fit her learning needs.

After several months of studying, Rebecca successfully passed her learner's permit exam. Next, she prepared for the road test with the same persistence and support system behind her. Rebecca is now a proud holder of a Virginia state-issued driver's license. This achievement also led to a new position and pay increase with her current employer.

Career Navigation is suitable for individuals who desire to develop their skillsets, complete trainings, and earn credentials that empower them to reach their career goals. Reach out to us at infomissions@goodwillvalleys.com to be paired with a Career Navigator and start your journey, today!
