Welcome to the final newsletter of Goodwill Week!

This week has been a time to celebrate the important work of Goodwill Industries and its impact on individuals and communities.

In this newsletter, we will focus on how Goodwill promotes community and sustainability through its events and activities.

As Goodwill Week comes to a close,

we are so proud to share a touching story about our employee Branden.

This Goodwill family member has come full circle,

through our mission services of

Homeless support and Job Training,

to Employment in the Good Prints shop

where he can now give back...by teaching people with disabilities

to have employable skills

through On-The-Job paid training!

Donated Goods Retail

Gulfstream Goodwill operates 27 retail stores and outlets across the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.

These stores provide affordable shopping options for customers while also generating revenue to fund Goodwill's programs and services.

Goodwill has always promoted sustainability through its environmental initiatives. Through its donation and recycling programs, Goodwill diverts 172 million pounds of goods from Florida landfills each year.

In addition, Goodwill operates an e-commerce platform that allows customers to shop for vintage and collectible items online. This helps to preserve valuable resources and reduce waste by giving new life to old items.

Gulfstream Goodwill employs 1,000 people with barriers to employment

through the thrift stores that we are known for.

These individuals sell donated goods to fund our mission programs,

where we proudly serve over 7,500 people each year.

$0.91 cents out of every $1 dollar raised, goes directly to our mission:

· 4 homeless shelters

· 200 units of temp and permanent housing

· A charter school and adult day programs for those with disabilities

· Re-entry justice services

· Job training and employment case management, that we are best known for

In conclusion, Goodwill Week is an important celebration of the work that Goodwill does in communities across the world.

Through its job training programs for people with disabilities,

homeless shelters and housing,

retail operations and environmental initiatives,

Goodwill promotes community, sustainability, and economic empowerment.
