Google Suite for Educators: Session 2


  • Course Description: This course series focuses on learning about various available technology tools, specifically within the Google Suite, for use in the digital classroom. The goal of these courses is to expose participants to the many offerings within the Google Suite while challenging learners to try new tools and advanced features. Participants will be given access to training videos and compiled resources to immediately begin using the knowledge gained in the training. Live assistance will also be available to participants throughout the course in order to address individual needs.

  • Google Forms (2 hours)
  • Google Classroom (2 hours)
  • Google Slides (2 hours)
  • Google Drawings/Jamboard (2 hours)
  • Google Extensions (1 hour)
  • Google Meet (1 hour)
  • Google Drive (1 hour)
  • Google Earth (1 hour)
  • All Courses (12 hours)

  • Date: The series will be available beginning Monday, November 2, 2020 through December 4, 2020. Courses may be taken in any order.

  • Platform: The series will be offered via Google Classroom

  • Audience: PK-12 teachers in all content areas

  • Contact Hours: This series is divided into eight courses. You will receive a certificate for 12 contact hours upon completion of the entire series or one contact hour per hour of each course (course hours vary). This series meets core competencies outlined in Ohio's Operating Standards for Gifted Education by including resources to assist in planning for and meeting the needs of all learners through differentiated instruction and individualized design.

  • Cost: Member Districts-$15 per course hour or $160 for the series. Non-Member Districts-$15 per course hour or $180 for the series.
