Lynn Gordon "Gordie" Bailey, Jr. was born on February 22, 1986. He would have turned 31 in just a few weeks had someone intervened on his behalf that September night in Boulder, when hazing and alcohol overdose took his life at just 18 years old. Gordie's mom said last year that she had a hard time imagining herself as the mother of a 30-year-old when Gordie was a young boy...and now, it's even harder that she is still imagining instead of celebrating these birthdays and milestones with her only son. Who would Gordie have been today? His family and friends cherish the time they shared with him--and we all benefit from them sharing his story with us. On February 22nd, take some time to remember Gordie and commit to looking out for those around you. We can all celebrate his birthday by taking his lifesaving message to heart. Happy 31st birthday, Gordie!
