HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe it is 2019? There are so many changes, opportunities and challenges for all of us in the coming year. As we are settling into 2019, we at Gordon Law have finally settled into our new offices in Henderson.
Along with the new year comes the opening of the Nevada Legislative Session on February 4. I am privileged, once again, to serve as the chairperson of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Committee. On behalf of the more than 1,600 member businesses in the Henderson Chamber, my committee will be advocating for sensible legislation for Nevada businesses. As I embark on this process, I will keep you posted on the progress of legislation that may affect your business. If you have any questions about a particular bill or policy, please feel free to contact me.
Did you make resolutions this year? Are you still sticking to them? As you will see below, this month, we are discussing who should have a trust. Spoiler alert: YOU!
A trust can help you control your assets both during your life and after your death. A trust is far more financially beneficial to your estate and your heirs than not having one. If you have a family, own property or want to have protections in the event of your incapacity, a trust is the best solution for you.
