March 2019
OPENING STATEMENT

As you are aware, the Nevada Legislature is in full swing. Last month, I had the opportunity to travel to Carson City to express to our elected officials some of the concerns that businesses have with legislation currently being discussed. While I believe I had very productive meetings, as business owners, you must remain attentive and know that what happens in Carson City will have a dramatic effect on how you operate your business
DISCOVERY

One of the hottest topics being discussed on both the federal and state level is legislation that will require businesses to provide paid sick leave for employees. The impact on smaller businesses can be much more dramatic. To learn what proposals are being discussed and how it may affect you, read HERE.
IN SUMMATION

We are coming to the close of the first quarter of 2019. Overall, from what I hear from my clients, business is good-in fact, very good. As we watch the Legislature progress through the session, I will keep you informed of actions that may affect your business (both beneficially and detrimentally). If you have any questions about particular legislation or the process as a whole, please contact me. I would love to talk to you about it!
