Gorge Green Drinks heads to Cascade Acupuncture Center in Hood River
The Gorge Owned Business Network (GO!)
welcomes residents to Cascade Acupuncture Center
at 104 5th Street in Hood River on
Thursday, January 17th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
for the first Gorge Green Drinks of 2013.
Carola Stepper, LAc, will speak about adopting business practices that are good for the health of employees and the environment. With three Gorge locations - one in Hood River and one in The Dalles and in Spring this year also in Stevenson - Cascade Acupuncture Center is committed to running its business in a way that minimally impacts the environment while positively impacting the community and its employees. This is most-often easier said than done.
At this Green Drinks, Stepper will briefly share tips for how small businesses can make environmental and social responsibility a bigger priority. For instance, Cascade Acupuncture Center is committed to giving 1% of net profits to local non-profits working on environmental issues or improving the lives of local people.
Green Drinks is free and open to the public but a $5 donation is suggested at the door for all non-members of the Gorge Owned Business Network. Light appetizers will be provided by Knead Bakery and wine will be provided by Ovino Market.
