The State of Oregon CHIPS Manufacturing & Research Program provides grants of up to $50,000 to organizations who plan to apply for federal CHIPS funding.
The state funding will assist the smaller semiconductor industry suppliers (with 200 full time equivalent employees (FTE) or less) throughout Oregon and create economic development opportunities for multiple communities. The funding will be distributed as grants to private semiconductor firms in Oregon to help with costs associated in preparing an application, including third party costs or professional services.
The program is now accepting applications, which will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until funds are fully awarded, or until June 30, 2025, whichever comes first.

This program is part of ODOT’s $100 million commitment to accelerate the deployment of EV charging along major roads and within Oregon communities over the next five years.
The Community Charging Rebates program

- Reimburses public and private investments through rebates at $4,250 - $5,500 per Level 2 charging port, up to 75% of eligible costs.
- Releases funding in rounds over multiple years, with the first round to launch in June 2023.
- Centers Equity by reserving 70% of funds for projects in disadvantaged and rural communities.
