Ecosystem Collaborations

On Saturday March 8, 2025, in collaboration with STEMteachersNYC, a team of seven Philadelphia regional educators traveled to New York City to attend the "Celebrating Connections" conference. Educational leaders from PRISE (Philadelphia Regional Institute of STEM Educators) and the Philadelphia STEM Ecosystem network attended a range of workshops and learned about innovative ways to teach STEM.

David Bungard and Paula Miller, STEM teachers in the School District of Philadelphia, and Victor Donnay, Director of PRISE, were speakers on a panel about teacher leadership. STEMteachersNYC, a teacher-led organization focused on supporting STEM teachers, runs a range of professional learning opportunities throughout the year. The team hopes to implement some of the approaches they learned from the STEMteachersNYC conference to support teachers throughout our region.

To continue strengthening connections between the two organizations, a team from STEMteachersNYC will visit Philadelphia on Saturday, May 3rd, and attend the USTRIVE STEM Educator conference. We would like to thank Beyond 100K for funding this collaboration.
