A new edition of The GAzette, Gould Academy’s magazine, is hot of the presses! 

The cover story, "Seeing the Bigger Picture" tells how Ronan Donovan'01 turned his love of wildlife into a calling as a photographer and National Geographic Storytelling Fellow.

The feature story is called “We Begin - Holding difficult conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Gould Academy.” This story is jointly written by Maggie Davis, Associate Director of College Counseling and Spiritual Life Coordinator, Kim Siebert MacPhail'73, P'07, and Stephanie Montgomery P'00, Director of DEIB at Gould.

Discussion Opportunity for Alumni:
We're offering scheduled, moderated opportunities for our community to discuss and reflect on the feature story “We Begin” together. Discussion leaders are subject to change. 

Alumni are invited to a Zoom meeting on February 24th at 6:30 pm hosted by Trustee Sarah Ovenden‘81, facilitators Kim Siebert‘73 and Brian Walker'83.
Reunion Class Coordinators Needed!
It has been too long - three years to be exact - since Gould Alumni have gathered to celebrate a reunion. We are very excited to welcome many familiar faces back to campus and especially looking forward to bringing multiple classes together to celebrate reunion years as clusters. We will be celebrating the class years ending in 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, 6s, and 7s to make up for the past missed Alumni Weekends. So, mark your calendar!

We are seeking Reunion Class Coordinators to help us rally their classmates and join us in Maine in June 2022.

We are planning more Gould To You events for this spring and summer. Currently, have these events planned, so mark your calendars:

  • Gould To You: Denver, rescheduled for April 5, 2022. (It was postponed from January.)

  • Gould To You: New York City, scheduled for May 25, 2022.

More details to come as we get closer to events dates!

Alumni Spotlight: Blake Wilson '13
Blake Wilson'13 competed in the 2022 Kings & Queens of Corbet's in Jackson Hole, Wyoming this past week. One of the highest level freeskiing competitions in the US.

His love of skiing led him to compete in mogul skiing and slopestyle at Gould and after. When he stopped competing, he found an affinity for big mountain terrain after seeing its potential in Utah. To check out his most recent film, Roots: Foundations of Freeskiing click the link below.
