With the approval of the revised bylaws and the appointment of the inaugural Certification Council by the Board of Regents, ACVS has reached an important milestone in separating its certification functions and membership activities.
The focus now shifts to ensuring a seamless transition of certification oversight from the Board of Regents to the Certification Council. Over the coming months, ACVS leadership, staff, and volunteers will continue the work necessary to support this transition and position the College for long-term success.
ACVS will soon start sharing more information about what membership will look like in 2027. Certification remains the core of the College’s mission, but our new governance structure lets us create even more value and connection for members. We’ll share more details about member benefits, services, and opportunities as plans continue to come together.
Thank you for your engagement throughout this process. The thoughtful feedback, questions, and participation from Diplomates have helped bring ACVS to this point. We are excited about what lies ahead and will continue to keep you informed as implementation progresses.
