Hagåtña, Guam — The Guam Chamber of Commerce, Guam Contractors Association, and Guam Travel & Tourism Association are proud to announce the upcoming Government Procurement Summit, set for June 12, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Guam. This pivotal event will bring together government leaders, industry experts, and the private sector to discuss how to best deliver services to the community through effective procurement practices.
The summit, themed “How Do We Best Deliver Service to Our Community,” will feature a full day of interactive panels, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from top officials, including Governor Lourdes Leon Guerrero, Speaker Frank Blas Jr. of the 38th Guam Legislature, and Public Auditor Benjamin JF Cruz.
Key topics will include:
- What is working in Guam’s government procurement process
- Challenges and areas for improvement
- Private sector experiences and insights
- Actionable solutions for better procurement outcomes
Panelists will represent a cross-section of Guam’s public agencies and private sector, including the Guam Power Authority, Guam International Airport Authority, Guam Community College, University of Guam, Office of the Public Auditor, Department of Administration, and Department of Public Works.
The summit will culminate in a keynote address by Public Auditor Honorable Benjamin JF Cruz, followed by breakout discussions and the identification of key action items.
