Governor Announces Return of All In-Person Work May 24

Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced yesterday that Michigan has achieved a 55 percent vaccination rate, allowing the state to move forward with Step 1 of the recently announced “MI Vacc to Normal” plan. Under Step 1, employers will no longer be mandated to require remote work when feasible.

While amended MIOSHA rules implementing the change have not yet been released, Governor Whitmer announced that in-person work across all sectors and workplaces will be permitted Monday, 5/24/21.
